Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our family-raised standard poodle puppies, our process, and what to expect.

What do your puppies cost?

Our standard poodle puppies start at $2,500 and vary by color and gender. We'll give you exact pricing when you inquire about a specific litter or puppy.

How does the deposit work?

A deposit holds your puppy. We'll walk you through the amount and next steps when you reach out. Deposits are applied to the total price.

Can I pick up my puppy, or do you deliver?

You're welcome to pick up at our ranch in Lampasas. We also offer ground transport across Texas and flight nanny service nationwide.

What health testing do you do?

Our breeding dogs are OFA tested (hips, etc.) and we do genetic testing where applicable. Puppies get a vet check before they go home. We're happy to share details when you inquire.

What's their temperament like?

Our poodles are raised with our family and around ranch life — they're social, confident, and used to noise and activity. We focus on temperament as much as health and structure.

How much grooming do standard poodles need?

Standard poodles need regular brushing and clipping every 4–8 weeks. We'll share grooming basics and resources when you take your puppy home.

When can I take my puppy home?

Puppies go home at 8–10 weeks old, after weaning and first vet check. We'll give you an exact date for your litter.

Do you ship or deliver outside Texas?

Yes. We work with a flight nanny service for out-of-state families. Ask us for options and cost when you inquire.

What does "family-raised" mean?

Our puppies live in our home with our family — not in a kennel or outdoor facility. They grow up around our children, other pets, and everyday household life. This means they're already socialized to normal family routines by the time they go to their new homes.

Are your puppies good with kids?

Yes. Our children handle every puppy daily from birth until they go home. Standard poodles are naturally gentle and intelligent, and our family-raised approach means they're already comfortable around children of all ages.

Are standard poodles good family dogs?

Standard poodles are one of the best family breeds. They're intelligent, eager to please, gentle with children, and hypoallergenic. They adapt well to different living situations and bond closely with their families.

Are you a small breeder?

Yes. We are a small, family-run breeding program. We raise only a few litters per year so every puppy gets individual attention, proper socialization, and the time they need to develop into a confident, well-adjusted companion.

How do you socialize your puppies?

Every puppy receives early neurologic stimulation (ENS) starting at day 3. They're exposed to different surfaces, sounds, and environments as they grow. Our children and other pets are part of daily life, so puppies learn to be calm and confident in a real home setting.

What is early neurologic stimulation?

Early neurologic stimulation (ENS) is a series of gentle exercises performed on puppies from days 3–16. It's been shown to improve cardiovascular performance, stronger adrenal glands, and greater stress tolerance. We perform ENS with every puppy in every litter.

How is your delivery process handled?

For Texas families, we offer ranch pickup in Lampasas or ground transport to your city. For out-of-state families, we use a trusted flight nanny service — a real person who accompanies your puppy on the flight and hands them to you at the airport.

Where are you located?

We're located on our ranch in Lampasas, Texas, in the heart of Texas Hill Country. We're about an hour northwest of Austin and centrally located for families across Texas.

Do you have a health guarantee?

Yes. Every puppy comes with a health guarantee, age-appropriate vaccinations, a veterinary health check, and AKC registration papers. We'll provide full details when you inquire.

Can I visit before reserving a puppy?

We welcome visits to our ranch by appointment. It's a great way to meet our dogs, see how our puppies are raised, and ask questions in person. Just reach out to schedule a time.

Are standard poodles good hunting dogs?

Yes — standard poodles were originally bred as water retrievers and still make excellent hunting companions. They have naturally soft mouths, strong swimming ability, great noses, and the intelligence to handle complex field commands. They're used for both waterfowl and upland bird hunting. Our puppies are raised on a working ranch in Texas Hill Country, which gives them a natural foundation for outdoor and field work.
